My MAN!! Mr. Dang coming through in the clutch!

I think my buddy in Sacramento has been waiting until the donations slowed down. Well played, Tom. So for you, I had to search through the archives to find some good ones.

...update...as I was typing this out, Lisa's Mom (Shirley) contributed. Thank you Shirley. Also, thank you to Lisa and Ben for putting our information on their blog. That was VERY nice of you to help spread the word for us.

I found a good one of how big the girls got before we gave away our car seats. I say gave away, but I mean donated to another young family. My friend from work and his wife are pregnant. It's been hard but we're going through the girls stuff and trying to be as giving and generous as all you have been when we found out we were pregnant. So here are the girls right before their first trip back to the hospital when they weighed about 6 or 7 pounds.

And here they are a couple weeks ago...weighing in over 20 pounds.

I found these from one morning when the girls crawled into bed with me and woke me up. It was probably at the crack of 9:30am.

We have been trying to put the girls hair up for a long time but they refuse to keep anything in their hair for more than a few seconds. We snapped a couple of pictures ...or at least tried to... the other morning when we were messing around with their hair. Sorry they aren't the best pictures but you can see how cute they are going to be with their hair up in pony tails.

So the walk is one week from today. Please, if you haven't already, spread the word. Email your friends and family. We have almost reached $2500!! Help us make a final push before the walk next weekend.

no donations = no pictures/videos of the girls

So instead, I give you this....

Here's the video I owe

Thanks again Sam for the contribution yesterday. Here is a funny video I took the other day of the girls while I was playing on the Wii. If you haven't seen it before, the object of the game is to hit the soccerballs with your head while dodging the shoes and random panda heads that are flying at you. The girls certainly get a kick out of it (pun intended). Watching it again, I realize I should have edited it down...it gets good at the 1 minute mark.

Video is coming

I didn't get a chance to upload the video before I left for work last night. I will load it up as soon as I get home.

Thanks to Sam for his contribution yesterday. Here's a fun fact...this is the 3rd different Sam to donate this year. Must be something about the name.

Back again!

Today, we have Mary to thank for her very generous donation. It is truely a blessing that so many people are contributing to this cause. We have such wonderful family and friends! Thank you all!

I may have mentioned the incredible weather lately. Although our house never quite reached 70 degrees during the stretch of warm weather, it felt AMAZING! We got out every day and did something fun with the girls. The last day before we got some clouds and rain, we went to the zoo...one of the girls favorite place in the world.

Here is a close-up of some buds finally popping out.

Unfortunately it appeared an entire elementary school was visiting the zoo the same day we went...but the girls held their own. They walked almost the entire time...and you should hear the shreaks of joy when the see the eagles.

One of the reasons we love our zoo so much is because of how close you get to be to the animals. Usually, there aren't a lot of people so I think they designed the zoo to allow you to be closer, since there are fewer people to share the viewing areas with. Make sense? Anyway, where else could you get this close to wolves?! They are absolutely breath-taking! I tried to take a couple pictures to get the scale. You just can't believe how big these guys are. They are HUGE!!

Sorry for the lack of commentary on this one. I had to queue these pictures up at home before I went to work so not sure the order.

Hopefully I'll get to post again tomorrow. We took a couple hilarious videos today. ;)

Ransom note worked!

I have to give all the credit to Lisa for coming up with the funny ransom note. If you weren't a fan of the ransom note, then you didn't understand the rules of the game. Rules are...we post every day that we receive a donation. No money = no post. So today, my brother and my dad came through with big donations and pushed us over the $2000 mark! With 10 days to go before the walk, we are already at $2110.

And thanks to my brother and Dad, here are a few pictures from yesterday. The girls LOVE going out on the balcony...especially to look for our next door neighbors dog, Wrigley.

It's the saddest thing, Alyssa has been playing so hard this week. She has fallen and scraped her knees. She won't keep band aids on so we put on the invisible band aid stuff, but even that is a struggle. This next picture is how bad her knee is now.

Katy is looking for her boo-boo too.

Then we asked if they had any on their hands and they both looked at the same time. Kinda cute.

We went to the zoo today and got plenty of great pictures. They'll be waiting for our next donation!

By the way, happy 35th birthday to my brother! What a great birthday! Cinco de Mayo, doesn't get better than that.

Going on 14 days in a row!!

You guys just won't give me a break...and I LOVE IT! Today, we thank Jefferson "The Pirate" for his donation. I'm starting to think we might really make $2000! Unreal. Thank you everyone.

Before I share some pictures from this evening, I want to share a funny email I got today.

I don't know, I think it looks pretty legit. Since I put all of our videos on youtube for the world to see anyway, I don't have a problem with them using it on their show so I gave my permission. What's funny is it reminds me of a great Seinfeld episode when Jerry signs 12 cent royalty checks he got because of a clip of him on some Japanese tv show. Sound familiar?

Here is the video they want to use.

Nothing really exciting today. I worked the early shift and had an insanely busy 8 hours at work so I was more than happy to take a nap when I got home while Lisa went to the store and the girls were sleeping. It was another gorgeous day but we didn't really take advantage of it this afternoon. We opened the windows and just let the fresh air through the house. It felt SO wonderful.

The girls were fascinated with the drapes in our bedroom being blown by the wind. They were actually a little scared of it at first...then warmed up to it and were giggling and playing in no time.

Let's make it 15 days in a row! Hope to share more pics and videos tomorrow.

Way to come through Anne!!

Our great friend Anne from the Houston, TX area came through with a big donation today for March for Babies!! Thank you Anne! We miss you!

After only 4 hours of sleep last night and a fun day of shopping for new bikes this afternoon, I am ready for bed early tonight. So I will get right to the point...the promised videos.

This was a couple mornings ago. The girls have a way of dragging out everything we do...mainly because they are cute and we let them. So at this point we should have been feeding them and changing them but they talked us into watching "Signing Time"...the videos that they are hooked on that teach them (and us) sign language. So here is a glimpse into a typical morning at the Brown household.

Continuation of the first video.

The phenomenal weather continues here. We hit 70 for the first time this season and only the 3rd time in the last year and a half. That's a scary thought. We celebrated by spending money at REI. We bought new bikes for ourselves! Can't wait to get outside and find some new trails to take the girls.

Keep those donations coming. I can't believe we might get to $2000 this year!

OK, I'm back

...BUT we didn't get any donations today so it's gonna get real quiet around here if those donations stop rolling in. So yesterday was a weird day. I think it was the 11 nights in a row of posting that finally caught up to me. So yesterday evening, my headache got worse and worse and as soon as the girls went to bed I thought it would be a good idea to lay down myself...just for a few minutes, right? Next thing I knew it was 1am!! So I got up and saw that Lisa posted (whew) and took the garbage to the curb and then proceeded to go back to bed and sleep through my alarm. So apparently I needed it. I feel much better now...although my alarm will be going off in exactly 5 hours so I won't be feeling so good tomorrow.

So here are the pictures I owe from yesterday. This is a continuation of the previous outing. After the slides, we went over to a grassy area and let the girls run free. They LOVED it!

This one, both girls are pointing up at the airplane.

This last one is funny because what happened immediately after I took the picture. I think Lisa was holding Katy back from running toward the creek. She took a split second to look up and as she was doing so, Alyssa ran right by her.

So not to tease you or anything but Lisa says she has a great video ready to be downloaded. I told her that we need more donations before we'll post anything else so...there you have it.
