What better cause ...

This post goes out to Shaun. He has made a very generous donation. I know he doesn't do it to be recognized, but he really has gone above and beyond. We are truly blessed to have a friend like him.

When I thanked him this morning, he very humbly replied "what better cause is there to support than the life and health of our children". I could not have said it any better, Shaun. Again, THANK YOU!!

So about a month ago, we decided to let the girls try ice skating. There was a deal to get both the girls 6 weeks of lessons so we tried the first week out and they really enjoyed it. So we went out and spent the money on some skates and have been watching them really improve each week.
Always with the hands out to the side.
The first week, they probably fell 2 or 3 times a minute. It's definitely down from there now...maybe once every other minute?? Still...there are plenty of falls.
I like this one. When the girls see us, it's hard for them not to skate over to say hi. Of course they can't hear us through the glass...so here's Lisa doing her best to encourage Alyssa to go back with her class.
They set up a little obstacle course for the girls to follow.
And Alyssa is really getting good at it!
Katy isn't too far behind.
And evidently Katy isn't the only one that sticks her tongue out when she's concentrating.
hmmm...didn't help.
So I started trying to get pictures of them falling down. So wrong...
The double lutz?
So many falls.
My favorite.
Well...maybe this one.
Kinda funny sharing all those pics of them falling. They try so hard and it's difficult to watch them fall over and over...but makes me proud to see them bounce right back up and keep trying.

In that spirit, I hope you are inspired to donate to March for Babies. Click on the link to the right and give what you can. And we'll make that $5000 goal!!
